spot the quince!

yesterday, i was a tourist in my own city with my musketeers. we saw the renaissance exhibiton at the gallery, and the handwritten manuscripts at the library. luckily i was allowed to take photos in the family activity room at the gallery, where they had awesome costumes for us to dress up in. the lady who was supervising was very enthusiastic about the photos we took; she showed us the paintings which the costumes were from.. and offered us a quince.

sweet sixteen. part II

pictures taken on my Kodak Retina IIa with some lomography xpro chrome film from Modcloth. above: grunge street art at the side of the Front cafe.
the coke, the iced chocolate, the iced coffee and the milkshake
more graffiti above an alleyway behind the cafe
the laundromat across from the cafe. there were two pictures which i scanned in the wrong way, but decided to leave it because it looks kind of trippy

other snaps found on the same roll of film, taken a few days before my birthday. these were taken while attempting to film a Lookbook styled video with anna.

sweet sixteen. part I

my favourite cafe, where i got together with a few friends for my birthday. this post mainly consists of the presents and the food, and the photos with me in it were taken by anna. part II will be the developed negatives taken on my kodak retina IIa, mainly of the graffiti around the area.

last day of being fifteen

before my birthday i wanted to go to shopping at Landspeed Records, so i had a semi-spontaneous day out
with my pal Anna. She has recently acquired a Canon 60D, so of course, we spent most of the day taking photos in the city. our collection of photos have merged into a few different categories; strangers on/near the zebra crossing outside Hugo Boss (there's something about that zebra crossing which attracts really photogenic strangers), pigeons, happy snaps and portraits of each other as well as more strangers and architecture around the area.

(we love seeing couples coordinate outfits. at once stage we saw a girl with a brown handbag and a dark blue square patch, and her boyfriend had a dark blue tshirt with brown square patches on his shoulders. i wanted to capture it but by the time i noticed the coordination they were too far away)
