april & albert
saturday was spent with Grace at April's Caravan and Albert Hall (for the 'Frock Up Canberra' vintage fashion fair). I found quite a few lovely items from dealers such as Fossil Vintage and Vintage Junkyard. unfortunately most items didn't have a tag and I couldn't tell which dealers they came from. The military jacket and two dresses are from April's Caravan and the rest were bought at Albert Hall, including the badges. Soon Grace and I will get together again and have a lookbook styled photoshoot with all the new items!

dogsitting
the result of looking after five dogs and taking pictures at the same time. my favourites out of the 80 photos mainly consisted of the dogs walking up to me and interrupting the shoot.
hidden moon
photo of the night sky I took a while ago while trying to get the full moon. I still have to figure out what more I could do with this.
more sprocket rocket!
put a sprocket rocket film effect on some of my favourite shots of Tanya.
refusal of return
the last image for the last photography assignment. this one has a little more meaning behind the previous two posts: I wanted to portray the stage in a typical hero's life where they achieve their ultimate goal and about to return to their ordinary life. This particular hero doesn't want to return to their ordinary life; they want to hang on to their place in the sky. I originally called this 'Even Heroes Fall' but changed it so it had a reference to Joseph Campbell's monomyth.

let there be night
the laptop has been out of action for a while so I haven't been able to access my files or editing programmes, but it's finally been fixed so I hope to get back into the blogging zone. the above image 'Let There Be Night' is one of the few that I submitted for the last photography assignment of the year. This idea came from a mixture of Brock Davis' Balloon and Speakerine's Space Art. I took all the individual images myself and created the sun using this tutorial.
