capital charm

when Ellie and I first went out to take photos for the Peter Blackshaw photo competition last year, she said
"what I like about canberra is that you can be in the city one minute and in the middle of nowhere in the next minute"
these two photos were found on my computer in my 'assignments' folder, and although these photos were taken for something completely different they reminded me of what ellie said. 
this year's Peter Blackshaw theme is Canberra in Action. before I found out about the competition, I found out that the perfect event had been held at The Front Gallery and Cafe - one of my favourite places in canberra. They organised a big bike ride for people who turned up in tweed suits. luckily, it happens annually, so i'll make sure I won't miss it next year. now to think of something to capture this year before the end of the holidays...
